Lesson 1 - How Much Water Do Plants Need?

• When a plant grows,it becomes taller,bigger and has more leaves.

              
 
 

• Plants need the right amount of water for healthy growth.Seeds will not start to grow if there is no water.Plants will wilt and die if it is not watered for a long time.

•  However,too much water is bad for plants too.Plants may die when their roots ara in water for too long during floods.

 
 

 Lesson 2 - Flowering Plants Produce New Plants

• Most plants have flowers.

• Flowering plants are plants which produce flowers.

• This is how a flowering plant produces new plants.

( a ) The plant bears flowers.
( b ) The flower develops into a fruit.There are seeds in the fruit.
( c ) When a seed falls on the ground,it will grow into a new plant.
